Crossed into Oklahoma and passed through Erick which was the home of singers Rodger Miller (King of the Road) and Sheb Wooly (Purple People Eater).

The rain started coming down with gusto when hit the outskirts of Oklahoma City and then went to blinding buckets of rain that was so intense we could only see 10 yards with any clarity. The taillights of the truck in front of us were our life line for the next 15 minutes which seemed like an eternity.

Finally made it to our hotel with a sigh of relief.
